“Sister’s Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?” is part of the late night catechism series written by Vickie Quade and Maripat Donovan. The flagship show “Late Night Catechism” is the longest continuously running show in the history of Chicago and the longest one-character comedy in off-Broadway history! The Late Night Catechism franchise has celebrated more than 40,000 performances in over 250 countries worldwide.
The fourth instalment in this series “Sister’s Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?” answers burning questions such as “why isn’t Easter on the same day every year like Christmas?” and reveals the origin of the Easter bunny, Easter bonnets and Easter eggs. This comedy will leave you entertained throughout the duration of the approximately two-hour show. Get ready to participate as Sister will run her own version of an Easter egg hunt with rewards and giveaways. This show is good for the whole family!
The 2016 production features Nonie Newton-Riley who perfected her comedy skills at famed Second City theater where she learned to write on her feet for many years. She earned an Emmy for writing and performing Oh,Art! for PBS in Chicago and has appeared in soaps, sit-coms and hidden camera shows. The last thirteen years she has spent traveling the country in the one-women Late Night Catechism plays!
